First Experience In An American Hospital

Hey, guys. How time flies! I have been in America for two moths.

This Saturday, my friend asked me to accompany her to the Salisbury hospital. One month ago, a bump was found in her left eye. It caused her pain. After her putting some medical cream on it, the pain went away but the bump was still there. She had this kind of bump three times before when she was in China. The doctors gave her eye operations to remove it. Anyway, she decided to go to doctors and listen to their suggestions.

There is a huge difference between American hospitals and Chinese hospital. In terms of the Salisbury hospital, I was shocked by its facilitis and serives. Chinese hospitals have always been crowded and you need to line up for a several hours to wait to see the doctors. The only solution is to arrive at hospital the earlier the better. My experience of hospital usually was annoying and there was nothing I can do to this. However, the condition of the Salisbury hospital was much better. Chinese hospital always claim that they want to make paients feel relax and comfortable in the hospital just like they were at home. But I think American hospital lived up to it truely. The whole process was fast, private. There was no odor of disinfectant and we just spent like 10 minutes on waiting. The walls there were painted half yellow and half white. I felt very warm and bright there. In addition, when we were sitting there to wait, the nurse gave us a bleeper and said:" when the bleeper is shaking, it means it's your turn." What a funny staff!

In short, the experience in Salisbury hospital was pretty good. And Hopefully, my friend will feel better soon!
